I’m so excited to share the new Cricut Joy Xtra! Their newest machine is sleek and compact. It's small enough to fit in a home office, kitchen counter, and/or small desk, in all-white it’ll fit any home decor. 

The dimensions are 12.48 in x 4.45 in x 5.87 in (31.71 cm x 11.32 cm x 14.91 cm) and only weighs 3.85 lbs (1.75 kg), making it perfect to move around the house where you need it. 

Their new compact machine is able to cut 8.5 inches wide materials and, with Smart Materials, you can cut up to 20 ft long! There are new Smart Materials made especially for the Cricut Joy Xtra (make sure to check on the packaging which machine the material is compatible with)

Does this mean Cricut will get rid of some of the other machines? Not at all! The Cricut Joy Xtra is coming to join the team and add another size of machine. This is a great starter machine, if you’re not sure you will out your Cricut to good use or need a lower priced machine but bigger than the Cricut Joy, then the Joy Xtra is for you! 

What’s the biggest difference between the Joy and the Joy Xtra? The Joy is a much smaller machine, the Xtra is almost twice the size, but it’s still sleek and compact. Apart from the size, the Joy Xtra has a Print then Cut sensor allowing you to create full-color stickers and more.  The size plus sticker-making functionality makes it the perfect step-up from the Joy.
