When this mom contacted me for this party she had a music party in mind since her baby loves music. I love the theme and together we made an amazing party happen.

When people got to the venue they were greeted by a small balloon garland and a simple welcome sign. Once they got into the space, we set up a table with some cards, pens and a box. All the guests got to write letters to the birthday boy to open on his 18th birthday, so sweet!

For colors, we decided to go with a mix of colors that turned out amazing, teal, red, orange. yellow, light and dark blue. We wanted the music theme to come through, but not go overboard, so the colors come from this beautiful balloon garland. The raw wood laser cut name and musical noted to give a little rustic feel to the setup.

We wanted a main decorated area, which was the cake table, that was our main focus. For that table, we decided to merge a few ideas the mom had, so I DIY'd a marquee number one and a couple of big drums, both of which make the biggest impact. We decided to go with this beautiful wooden table so we wouldn't have to use a table cloth and the centerpiece was the colors and decor.

One of the biggest challenges we had was a huge set of stairs that was in the middle of the room, they're outdated and not the prettiest so we decided to go with an amazing balloon installation for people to take pictures at. It ended up being the talk of the party and definitely gave this celebration a lot of colors!

We also added bunting all over the ceiling to add more color to this celebration and a fun craft table where the kids could decorate some wind chimes and color some music themed coloring pages.

To end the party on a high note we gave all the guests a chalkboard with their initial. Made out of laser cut wood, we spray painted it, added a muslin bag with 4 chalk sticks and a cute personalized label on it. The face of each child, when they got a favor with their initial, was priceless!

Last, but not least, let's talk about that show stopper cake that Shruti's cake addiction made, adorable and it fit right in with the decor!

Party on!
