There’s nothing I love more than simple, yet beautiful parties. There’s something great about throwing some stuff together and having a party done in just a few minutes. Simple and easy doesn’t mean boring and basic, it just means you won’t be slaving over your celebrations for our on end!

The main things you need to consider to make simple and effortless parties is your color palette when the color combination is right everything will come together nicely. For this party, I put together colors that people don’t usually think go well, but it turned out amazing.

It’s been raining for 2 months straight in the Bay Area and if you know me you know that summer and sunny days are my jam, so if the sun is not coming out I’ll bring it out myself! I had some sun shaped plates that I bought a while ago because I just loved them but hadn’t had the chance to use yet and this was the perfect opportunity. I paired them with purple basic plates from Oh Happy Day, they’re the perfect basic plate because the rim is straight up, so other plates layer nicely on top. I wanted this party to be bright and happy, so I used a simple white Ikea coffetable table, best kept secret is that coffee tables are the best height for kids!

To add a few more pops of color I added the cutest cotton candy bags from Sweet Puff Candy and some simple wooden cutlery from Meri Meri. To create the runner I used two placemats and just taped them together to create the runner, these placemats are so colorful and amazing quality! These amazing clear chiavari chairs are from La Vie Posh and too not make it so plain I just added 4 purple balloons tied together.

To create a backdrop I simply added some balloon chains, for them, I used a special type of balloon called QuickLink from Qualatex, they have two sides that you can tie together to make one long string of balloons. And to top it off I used this amazing acrylic chandelier from Chandeliers by NK to give it the right touch of girly, but not over the top. What I love about this chandelier is that it’s super lightweight, so you can hang it basically from anywhere and it looks stunning.
