Christmas Dinner Table

How is it December already?! If you know or follow me on Instagram, you will know that I’m Jewish and don’t celebrate Christmas (we’re actually flying out to Texas on Christmas Eve because it was cheaper that day, ha!), so this was my first ever Christmas dinner table to style and I must admit, I liked it! I loved shopping for the trees and greenery and I’m seriously in love with the small ornaments I used instead of napkin rings!

As much as I like the look of green and red together for an ultimate Christmas look, I wanted to do something a little different and add different colors to the table (there had to be pink, of course!). As an inspiration for the shoot I used the cutest bottle of wine from Speak Wine, the label is so festive and feminine at the same time. I took some of that pink and blush tones from the bottle and got some of the most gorgeous bottle brush trees. For the burgundy color, I brought in some fake greenery from Target that had the perfect tones with that white mixed in there.

The table I used is actually my desk (my husband made it for me!) and because I love how the wood grains show I didn't want to cover it up, that’s why I decided not to use a tablecloth and only a runner. The burlap and lace runner gives it a feminine feel and adds a little brightness to the dark wood. The napkins are the perfect white, green and gold tone and, my favorite thing of this shoot is the amazing place cards that Laura Garcia from Letter L Design made, the gold lettering with the burgundy back and inserted into those cute jingle bells are everything!

To recreate the napkin rings shown above you just need the small ornaments listed below and floral twine, you insert one of the ornaments into the twine and wrap it around the napkin and just put the second one resting on the napkin with the center under the twine.
